Hazy IPA / 6.3% ABV, 40 IBU, 5 SRM
INGREDIENTS:
Pale malt, Pilsner malt, Wheat malt, Acid malt, BRU-1 Lupomax hops, Citra Lupomax hops, Cosmic Punch yeast.
DESCRIPTION:
In support of our local home brewing community, we hosted a competition for the Lauter Day Brewers homebrew club, and this was the winning beer. Designed and named by Franklin Aguayo in a collaboration with Yakima Valley Hops, this NEIPA is packed full of Citra and BRU-1 Lupomax hops, for intense fruitiness and aroma. We also did a wort share with the homebrew club, which means we didn’t get a lot of this beer. It is an extremely limited
HISTORY:
More related to historical brews than modern lower-strength Scottish ales, these beers have their roots in the strong ales of the 1700s and 1800s, although formulations and methods have changed. A premium product, often produced for export. Modern versions have lower starting and finishing gravities than their historical ancestors.
