DESCRIPTION:
While a true American IPA by definition starts at 5.5%, we here in
Utah have embraced the idea of “session” IPAs for their
drinkability and availability on tap per Utah law requiring draft
beer be under 5% ABV. Mosaic and Citra hops provide the
dominant hop profile of the beer with a pleasantly citrus character
and just the right amount of bitterness to make this a truly
sessionable beer.

HISTORY:
The first modern American craft beer example is generally
believed to be Anchor Liberty Ale, first brewed in 1975 and using
whole Cascade hops; the style has pushed beyond that original
beer, which now tastes more like an American Pale Ale in
comparison.
