DESCRIPTION:
A beer influenced heavily by a homebrew recipe from Marshall Lent at Salt City Brew Supply who was looking for a beer that looked and tasted a bit like honey. This American IPA is hop forward with citrus and floral notes while maintaining some mild honey sweetness from both honey malt and local Utah honey. Deseret is the original name the Mormons gave the area Salt Lake City is located, and the word means Honey Bee which is closely related to hard work and being industrious in nature.

HISTORY:
The first modern American craft beer IPA example is generally believed to be Anchor Liberty Ale, first brewed in 1975 and using whole Cascade hops; the style has pushed beyond that original beer, which now tastes more like an American Pale Ale in comparison.
