Irish Lager

BEER STYLE / STATS:

Pale Lager / 5.0 ABV, 20 IBU, 5 SRM

DESCRIPTION:
This is our take on a northern Ireland style of pale lager. We use Malting company of Ireland pale malt, English hops and then cold ferment with Irish Ale yeast. The result is a golden lager has a uniquely smooth taste compared to its German counterparts with a bigger body and bolder taste than American Lagers.

HISTORY:
Irish lager, though often overshadowed by stout, has a rich history, with Guinness creating Harp Lager in 1960 as a response to the growing popularity of European lagers, and Heineken Ireland now having the largest share of the lager market.
